FAQ

Q: What does GTO stand for?

A: GTO stands for Game Theoretical Optimum and can be considered as the optimal strategy in terms of a Nash equilibrium. The Nash equilibrium is a solution concept for non-cooperative games such as poker. Specifically a Nash equilibrium is reached, if each involving player has chosen a strategy and no player can benefit by changing his strategy while the others keep theirs fixed. For example, in a Rock-paper-scissors game the Nash equilibrium is randomly playing rock, paper and scissors.
